Wonderlands Choir of Florida is a mixed (women & men), four-part voice (soprano, alto, tenor & bass) A Capella choir based in Lady Lake, Florida. Its members are ardent devotees of the Art of Singing, although none has ever sung professionally. The choir-members, all of whom participate without compensation, are drawn from the Florida communities of The Villages, Wildwood, Ocala, Summerfield, and surrounding cities.
The choir performs on an "invitation only" basis. Principal venues include churches, residential care & assisted living facilities, and military veteran groups (e.g., virtual Honor Flights). Performances in such venues are given without charge or request for donation. Performances for private organizations are happily arranged, with a commensurate donation agreed to in advance.
Wonderlands Choir of Florida is extremely grateful for the boundless energy and awesome leadership of its director, Margaret Lacy. Furthermore, we are thankful for the generosity of Tri-County Baptist Church (Lady Lake, FL), which provides usage-free practice facilities for us on a regular and ongoing basis.
Interested in joining our choir? We meet at 6:30pm nearly every Monday evening at Tri-County Baptist Church on Rolling Acres Road in Lady Lake.
A Brief History: A community choir known as Winter Wonderlands was formed in 2016 by then members of the Lampstand Community Choir. In 2018, the choir was enlarged by merger with a women's A Capella group known as Yuletide, and the name "Wonderlands" was adopted coincident with the merger. Wonderlands Choir of Florida is thankful to have been selected to participate in several Disney World Christmas choral events.
